EZ-ZONE® PM Controller

A Highly Scalable Simple To Use Panel Mount Controller

The EZ-Zone® PM panel mount controller from Watlow® can be ordered as a PID controller or an Over/Under limit controller and also a combined PID controller with Over/Under limit control as well as two PID controllers in one. A Universal Input comes standard and is program selectable for: Thermocouple Grounded or Ungrounded, RTD Two or Three wire, Process 0~20mA or 0~10Vdc, Potentionmeter; Scalable; Inverse Scaling. Optional inputs offer a choice of Thermistor Input, Current Transformer Input, and Digital Inputs. Serial Bus Communication is standard together with configuration software for easy and reliable fast controller setup via a laptop or PC. Other communication options to support network connectivity to a PC or PLC include: Modbus® RTU, Modbus® TCP, EtherNet/IP™, Profibus DP, and DeviceNet™. A non-arching 15A single pole single throw relay is an output option that can directly drive a resistive load and reduce the cost of a thermal loop system by eliminating the use of a power switching device. This is one of many selectable outputs for a total of four outputs in single panel mount controller. The space saving EZ-Zone® PM controller with the many affordable options make this a highly scalable choice when replacing obsolete or outdated process controllers and the various DIN sizes make this a good panel mount retrofit regardless of brand.

PM LEGACY™ Panel Mount Controller

The Watlow® LEGACY SERIES panel mount controller is an industry-leading PID controller that allows optimal performance utilizing simple control and menu functionality without complex features. It is ideally suited for basic applications and usage levels. The LEGACY includes one universal input and an option for up to two outputs and is available in 1/16 DIN and 1/32 DIN panel mount packages. It can be ordered as a PID process controller or as a dedicated over and under-temperature limit controller.

EZ-Zone® PM Model Selection Tool

The EZ-Zone® PM controllers are programmed by menu driven choices. Watlow® offers a simple program menu designed for heat/cool applications called the EZ-Zone®PM Express to help simplify operator control when it is not necessary to view menu choices not associated with heat/cool applications. The standard EZ-Zone®PM model offers more extensive menu selections for various process applications in addition to heat/cool control such as controlling humidity, pressure, position, flow, level, PH, and other closed loop control applications. Both program models cost the same and can be used for the same applications. Simplification is the whole concept of the Watlow® EZ-Zone® controller family.
