Ez-Zone® Series Controllers
A Family of Flexible Controllers from Watlow®
Watlow® has designed a class of process controllers incorporating their Tru-Tune®+ adaptive PID technology and offering them in three configurations:
Ez-Zone®PM
A front panel mount controller in two flavors, both offered in the same DIN sizes and both cost the same. The difference is in the factory default program menu system. The Ez-Zone®PM Express intended for basic heat/cool applications provides a user friendly front panel interface and utilizes a two menu program with a streamlined list of parameters that eliminate the complexity often experienced with process controllers intended for various applications other than controlling temperature. The simplicity in setting up and operating the express model will reduce training costs and programming errors. The standard Ez-Zone®PM controller has more extensive program menu options to provide enchanced optional features. This version of the PM series can integrate both a PID control and a high/low safety control in the same controller or it can be ordered with two PID controls in the same controller. Ez-Zone®ST
The Ez-Zone®ST is a complete thermal control system in a safe to touch compact package that can be either DIN rail or back panel mounted. This compact controller eliminates compatibility issues often encountered when using different components in a thermal control loop. The Ez-Zone®ST provides a turnkey solution with a preconfigured design that reduces installation time and money and ensures a reliably efficent and accuarate control system. A choice of components provides flexibility for use in various applications. Ez-Zone®RM
The Ez-Zone®RM is a din rail mounted thermal control system configurable from six different modules that can provide anywhere from a single control loop up to 152 control loops and up to 256 monitor points. This system of modules allow flexibility in mixing and matching inputs and outputs making this system robust and scaleable for various process control applications. The Ez-Zone®RM can use any combination of the following programable application blocks:
- Compare = greater than, less than, equal, not equal, greater than or equal, less than or equal
- Counters = counts up or down, activates output when count value equals or exceeds set count value
- Logic = and, or, not, equal, not equal, latch, flip flop, nand
- Math = subtraction, division, multiplication, addition, square root, min-max, scaling, averaging
- Process value = average, crossover, differential, ratio, absolute, altitude, dew point, and more
- Linearization = interpolated or stepped relationship
- Special output functions = compressor, motorized valve, sequencer
- Timers = on pulse, delay, one shot, retentive
- Variable = digital or analog, user selected value
